ESPIC DIGITAL MEDIA
Technical Information Page.
My current camera is a Nikon D200 digital SLR, with a Nikon 18 to 200mm 3.5 to 5.6 zoom lens.

All pictures taken with this camera are RAW images of around 18.5mb. 3872x2592 Pixels. The images for the prints are converted to JPEG and printed at fine quality around a 2mb-file size.

The prints are made on a Canon Pixma 4500 printer, using Canon Inks and Canon paper. They are available in A4 size only bordered or border-less, either colour, sepia or monochrome. They are posted free of charge to the UK in hard backed envelopes to prevent the risk of damage, and using recorded 1st class Royal Mail, maximum of 4 per envelope.

The Gallery Images are sized at 600x400 Pixels and 72DPI.

The Sailing Gallery image files are too small for A4 sized prints therefore not for sale.

The mounts are 16 x 12inch single type medium quality thick mount board in parchment colour, with the print taped in place on four sides, available for collection only due to postal damage and excessive mailing costs.

As frames are freely available in many styles and qualities, simple to fit, and more a matter of individual choice, we leave their supply to the customer.

The CD’s and DVD’s are burned using a Samsung G15 DVD Drive. They are supplied in a hard case and dispatched in a padded envelope using 1st class recorded Royal Mail to the UK. The actual discs are printable CDR and DVDR18x with a suitable picture relating to the contents printed on them.

Audio-Visual, or A-V for short, is the presentation of still images in a regulated or random sequence and set to a voice commentary/ musical accompaniment / or both. Most basic digital imagery editing systems have a basic slide show facility, however, you get what you pay for. The system that is becoming the camera clubs standard, is called Pictures to Exe. With this system you can enhance your images by adding movement such as zoom and pan. The system also contains numerous fades and dissolves, timings, the ability to add your own music, captions and everything you need to construct an A-V presentation you can be proud of.
For the person who does not want to construct their own, or is looking for a particular subject I am offering my A-V Presentations for sale. They are available on CD for projection via a laptop computer, or DVD for viewing via a domestic TV. They can be adapted for wide-screen viewing but this would be a special order. The standard CD viewing aspect ratio is 4-3; this can be changed to special order.
I also offer 1 to1 basic tuition in PTE to anyone living within 15 miles of my home.

The images content of the presentations includes blank lead in and end slides and captioned slides, usually around 5% of the show.

As of November 2008 we can now copy your slides, negatives, or photographs and convert them to digital images for viewing on your computer or via a DVD player, your TV set.
Your images would be scanned using the latest scanning technology with our latest acquisition a Canon 8800F Scanner. With this machine we can enhance, correct and produce digital copies even better than the originals. See our scanning page for details and prices.

See pricing page for details, including UK, Europe, & Rest of World.
